On the Road Again

Toronto FC finally picked up their first away win last night, beating Real Salt Lake 2-1. Jeff Cunningham opened the scoring for Toronto against his old club, with former TFC striker Alecko Eskandarian equalizing from the penalty spot just before halftime. New signing Collin Samuel earned the win for Toronto in the second half with another penalty. The team are still lagging around the bottom of the Eastern conference standings, but at least now we know that they can win away from BMO Field. With the FIFA U20 tournament going on in Toronto, their next home game won't be until the end of the month, and if that could have been a really long road trip.

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to bitch about the MLS website for having pop-ups ads. It's kind of ugly and badly organized anyway, but the popups are the worst. This is not the way to come off as a professional organization, guys.
